Checkers
What is this game about?
Checkers, also known as Draughts, is played on an 8 x 8 board. Players take each other's pieces by jumping over them. The winner is the first to take all the other's pieces.
How do I control the game?
You use the mouse, or the touchpad on your laptop. There are no keyboard controls for this game.
Playing:

Players get given either black or white pieces. These face each other in a diagonal pattern across the 64 square board. Pieces can either move one square diagonally, or more by hopping over the opponents pieces and "taking" them.

At first, the players will move towards each other but soon they will get into a position where they can take the other player. If they can they have to take the other player, they cannot move if an opportunity to take is available.

There is one other rule. If a player reaches the opponents end of the board then their piece is crowned. A crowned piece can move both backwards and forwards.

Gameplay tips:
1) Traps: remember that your opponent has to move if they can take you. This can be used to trap your opponent's pieces by forcing them into certain moves;
2) Crowned: you can tempt an opponent to get a piece crowned in a trap, taking them immediately after crowning, or get crowned yourself. Crowned pieces are very powerful.
